College galleries provide a great resource for the community. Active engagement on a college campus is a good resource for the community

FGCU galleries mission statement good. Goals make sense and their use of grant dollars will be well spent.  It is good to see a deep commitment to paying artists, musicians and writers and the fact that they want to increase visiting time to increase programming opportunities is wise. It's also great to see that they are working with theatre students and writers.

In the goals section they mention "measurable objectives" and most of them make sense except it seems like it will be hard to "measure" (so to speak) increases in the viability of being a Florida artist? One can't help but also wonder if they will be personally "measuring" created critical research on contemporary Florida artists in general or creating the critical research themselves?

Overall, FGCU's grant application presented compelling information about impact on the cultural and economy of not only the campus and county but also region.

Presented support materials were quite helpful.

maybe a little more latino and diversity exposure could be anticipated given the quality of the collections and the students enrolled? but overall a good application.
